During our on-boarding process, we analyze if a independent provider is ready to become self-employed. Your success is important to us. Our entire environment is designed to enhance your experience, and that of your clients: quality interior & products, professional and drama-free atmosphere and matching music, and a thorough vetting process, ensuring that only providers with similar mindsets are part of the team. It is a multiple-point review to ensure that you are a right fit and that you will be successful. It is definitely not just about getting your rent money. We are confident in this process and our independent providers reap the full rewards of their profession, which includes greater financial stability, flexibility, a great family-life balance, creative freedom, and essentially limitless growth.

Renting has become so much easier over time. It is not 2005, nor is it 2010 anymore. Technology allows for incredible access to information and logistics. Square has made it phenomenally easy to book online, process payments, develop marketing strategies, sell gift cards, and so much more. Intuit’s self-employed app can keep accounting tidy and at your fingertips, and also gives advice on taxes. Liability insurance has been made readily available at an affordable rate. There are numerous providers catering to self-employed stylists. We encourage prospective stylists to reach out to our current renters to speak with them about their experience of renting with Salon Vermont.

Located at a very busy and visible Dorset Street location. Our brand new location is at 34 Blair Park in Williston and it is taking off like a rocket. It is right off Williston Road, next to UPS, USPS, and BOHO baby. Furthermore, it is not unusual for our social media posts to reach a great number of people on Facebook and Instagram – and we are just at the beginning! Around 6000 followers on Facebook and Instagram (combined)
We work together with providers to promote their work as needed/requested by stylists. The Salon itself does not benefit from this promotion, but rather ensure that you are successful, busy and happy.
Daily new client requests and next to a very busy and quality Nail Salon. Blair Park location is next to very busy Boho Baby, UPS, the Post Office. Because renters are established and busy, many times we have no availability to meet the demand.

This means that the salon must be financial stable so that all can build their careers on, but also believe that salon’s success means nothing if the providers are not successful. We do not occupy ALL chairs at our salon on a given day. We aim to maintain comfort and flexibility for all of our stylists.
We can also help with rough estimates how your new financial situation would look like as a self-employed provider, explain tax obligations, and what costs are associated while being self-employed.
We do not believe in, nor have any competition clauses, thus if you ever decide to leave we will never stand in your way. We rather wish you the best of luck and may even help you achieve your goals! We want people to stay because they enjoy the salon, fellow service providers, clients and the atmosphere.
Aveda back bar and styling products included for FREE. Hassle free. Clients love Aveda’s natural scents. It makes for a very comfortable work environment without any strong artificial smells, that both you and your client can enjoy.
Aveda color bar and retail. We have dedicated our retail to Aveda. SImplicty, quality, loved by many. Keeping it simple.
You may also use your own color brand, which makes this an optimal setup for any stylist. We provide lockers for you to store your color.
Currently, we have stylists that are highly proficient in Aveda, Goldwell, Redken, Schwarzkopf, L’Oreal, and Oligo/Calura, among other brands.
You can buy Aveda color at cost. Hassle free.
1 week free – each year. This is a little thank you for being self-employed with us. In additional you may swap work days free of charge, as chair availability allows.
Paid days transferable. Life happens, and we want to ensure you gain the most flexibility in your practice. If you paid for your contracted week, but would like to take a vacay or are out sick, you can use those days during other weeks.
